- Green = half stitch (halvslag)
- Purple = cloth stitch / linen stitch (vävslag)
- Red = whole stitch / double stitch (helslag)
- Small dash on the line = extra twist (2 dashes equal 2 extra twists, etc.)

- Enkelslag = half stitch, single stitch (halvslag, enkelslag)
- Laerredslag = cloth stitch / linen stitch (vävslag)
- Dobbeltslag = whole stitch, double stitch (helslag, dubbelslag)
- Kryds = cross (korsning). Sno = twist (vridning).
- Galslag = square tally / square leaf (fyrkantig mandel)
- Bladslag = tally / leaf / marquise (avlång mandel)
